** I'm limited to a max of 10 tasters per night. Cost of wines is divvied up among the number of tasters and there's a small per person snackage/glass fee on top of the wine cost. All you have to do is show up with check or cash as everything else is provided. Wines are poured prior to your arrival to allow time for them to breathe so you can better appreciate the aroma/bouquet. Start time is 7 p.m.
** Speed of your response (other than by the deadline) doesn't matter as I realize not everyone checks their e-mail frequently. If I have more than 10 folks on a given night, a lottery will be held to determine the 10 participants. The extras will go on a list in case of a cancellation. After the cutoff date, I will send out an e-mail confirming the participants and the cost.
** If you are bumped due to overflow, you are guaranteed a spot in the following month’s tasting if you wish to attend that subsequent one.
** Realizing that "compost occurs," and you might not be able to attend, I ask that you give me as much lead time as possible (my cell # is 215-962-7168), so I can find a replacement for you. If I can’t, I ask that you please pop a check in the mail (61 Parkview Way, Newtown 18940) for that night's cost.
** Wines are measured by the number of tasters, e.g., 10 people get 2.5 ounces in each glass while 8 participants would get 3 ounces. In the latter example, the 8 people pay slightly more, but then they get more to sip.
** Snackage is simple...a cheese or two, soppressato (which has enough fat to coat the mouth from drying tannins but not real peppery which would accentuate the heat/alcohol in a wine), crackers and bread (best to cleanse the palate). So, you might want to be sure to have a supper prior to arrival.
** Just a reminder that I have a free range cat Mr. Purrl (aka Monkey #1) who often joins us, so if you have allergies, please take your meds.** He has gone over the Rainbow Bridge; so, no worries if you're allergic.
** You will be on the mailing list as long as you keep attending. I will remove your e-mail address after you have not attended in 6 months or so.
** Finally, please do NOT wear any perfume, cologne or aftershave as it can mask the aroma/bouquet of the wines.
